About the lesson
I base my teaching off of my knowledge from my Japanese teachers, and from the Genki books that you may want to invest in. But if you don’t have money for those books yet! Don’t worry! I will make sure my students have access to necessary materials. I love teaching with a positive and fun attitude, in an environment where absolutely no judging is tolerated of any sort. I want to welcome all who are willing to learn with me.

About Cynthia
I am a college student that has been learning Japanese for 6 years now! I am still learning so I won’t be teaching advanced until I pass my honors Japanese. Until then, I’m able to confidently teach basic Japanese up to Japanese 3. I love speaking the language, and I’ve been a private tutor for about 5 months now. I teach those of all ages!

I met Cynthia through a friend who was also interested in learning Japanese and we decided to learn together. Let me tell you, Cynthia makes you feel so comfortable! She's so understanding of each students learning pace. Her style doesn't make me feel like I will never be able to get to a fluent level. Everything is easy and she puts students first. I definitely recommend her for those of you who want to start learning Japanese! She is a great start to learning a foreign language.
Cynthia is such a sweet teacher and is very patient with each and every student. She’s always understanding that everyone has different learning paces! She makes everything easy and genuinely cares about each of her students. It makes me excited to learn a new language I’ve always had interest in as a black student, since she’s of color as well, she brings life to my dreams to be a Japanese teacher of color too!
