Want to get better at playing the guitar or ukulele?
Each lesson we focus on helping you improve your understanding, technique, and expression as you play the guitar or ukulele.
Lessons are designed to meet you where you are at -- with playing or writing songs -- and help you improve in ways that most interest you.
For the introductory lesson, we will explore what your needs are and begin developing an overall approach (make a plan that fits your needs) for how to help you with learning and improving your Guitar and/or Ukulele playing.
After the introductory lesson, we will follow the plan we have created specifically for you, and divide that plan into the number of lessons appropriate for you at this time.
Learning here is down to earth, relaxed, dynamic, and fun! Looking forward to meeting you!

About Peter
Originally from Wisconsin, I have been living and working in Mexico now for over 20 years.
I am a professional working musician, creativity consultant, actor (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, etc), writer, clown, and translator.
Music I have composed has appeared in films that have been nominated for Arieles (the Mexican "Oscars") and that were shown in the Cannes Film Festival.
As a musician, I studied for a while at the Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; played in a gypsy jazz band called the Twin Cities Hot Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I have been working as a musician in Playa del Carmen for a long time now, playing at hotels, bars, and restaurants. And I have composed well over 100 songs in a wide variety of styles.
So, if you are a beginning or intermediate guitar or ukulele player who wants to enjoy learning in a down to earth, relaxed, dynamic, and fun way, this class is for you!

Perfect! I have only had the initial meeting with Peter, but he impressed me and more lessons are planned. Peter focused on my goals and his understanding them. Peter suggested and validated an approach and selected some material based on my suggestions to exercise the objectives and very quickly we had developed a measurable and testable approach using approproiate materials. No boring standard book, and we had an opening, repeatable plan to reach my musical goals. While doing all this, he certainly proved his own technical skills as a musician and teacher. For myself, I have previously done in person beginner training with standard texts, self selected exercise books, and YouTube training. But it hasn't really jelled for me and done little to improve my playing. I'm looking forward to these classes with confidence.
