About the lesson

Hey everyone! I'm excited to start tutoring and making new friends. Whether you're a kiddo looking for some fun or just trying to learn new skills I'm your gal.
My classes will have a compassionate and creative atmosphere. We will learn and create together.

GUIDED ACTIVITIES: I might pose a series of questions, provide prompts to extend thinking, ask students to demonstrate a familiar concept in a new way, encourage students to try a new activity, and so on.

GUIDED EXPLORATION:
I will model a concept or skill that is part of a larger set of skills or knowledge, and guide the students as they practice this first step. The process is repeated until the students master the expected knowledge and skills of the lesson.

Other classes include
NOVICE DRAWING and more
I will work with where you are at levelwise in the consultation

    1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

Like many artists, I started drawing as a kid. I had an obsession with drawing my favorite cartoons and my brilliant fashion ideas on paper. I quickly realized how much I loved the creative side of life.

  • 02

    2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

I am red-green colorblind so many artists that prefer to use lots of blues in their pieces attract me the most. Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh are two artists that tend to use lots of blues and they are both impressionist painters.

  • 03

    3) What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

I have always believed anyone can draw, but you do have to try. Very rarely are people born prodigies so there has to be some effort there. Patience and consistency are very important when trying to succeed in this area.

  • 04

    4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

You have to be patient and okay with "failure". You're not going to like everything you create but you should always appreciate those steps that get you to where you want to be.

  • 05

    5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

My passion is being creative with others and sharing that creativity with the world. There are so many reasons I love the art world and teaching others! Watching people grow and get better is satisfying enough, but to watch them LOVE what they make is the absolute best. I believe that drawing and painting are healing, when I work on my own I get lost in it. Making art gives you a moment of peace, reflection, and something to be proud of!

  • 06

    6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I'm working on illustrating a children's book at the moment with a publisher and I can't wait to share it with ya'll.

  • 07

    7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Absolutely, I never underestimate my students, they're a lot more capable than you might think.

  • 08

    8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

You have to be dedicated and show up. Remember that you're going to make an impact on your students, so be consistent, positive, and patient. If you create a good environment you will know from your feedback, hearing that they're comfortable and excited to join the lesson is proof you're doing something right.
