About Paige
In August of 2016, I enrolled at my dream school, Full Sail University, to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment after gaining the Creative Minds scholarship of $15,000 for an essay I wrote. During my program, I held a position at Full Sail’s Writing Center where I wrote articles for my school's online hub as well as tutored students on writing essays, stories, and scripts. By the end my academic journey, I had won 5 Course Director’s Awards, received the Advanced Achievement Award, and graduated on May 4th, 2018 as Valedictorian.
After this victory, I pursued a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production at Full Sail the same month I graduated. I took on a variety of roles such as Grip, BTS Photographer, Camera Operator, Director, Producer, and Writer. One of the pieces I’m most proud of is the award-winning short film, Inshallah.
My first job in the industry was as a Media Archivist in the Data Department at Light Iron, a Panavision Company. In a little over a year, I worked my way up to the position of Data Verification Tier 2. In both roles, I worked on projects such as One Night in Miami, The Haunting of Bly Manor, American Horror Story, and more.
During my time at Light Iron, I reached out to Panavision's Creative Writing Department and embarked upon an apprenticeship with the Lead Writer there, Jon Witmer, while still upholding my duties in the Data Department. With Jon, I interviewed Colorists and Cinematographers alike to compose social media posts for Panavision's official Instagram account.
I am now looking to apply the knowledge that I have gained over the years to help young students and creatives alike.

My name is Simone Caroti, and I teach the Science Fiction and Fantasy course in the Creative Writing for Entertainment BFA at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Paige Bergen, who is now an English tutor on Superprof.
Paige was my student in the summer of 2018, and over the duration of the course I got to know her and assess her writing skills. She is a careful, hard-working writer with a knack for efficient visualization and a penchant for developing vividly experienced settings. Reading her work, I always found it rewarding to visit the places she conjured up on the page. This is a particularly important skill when we consider that, before one can teach academic English to others, one must first be able to conceptualize, organize, and then transfer to the page one’s own language-mediated visions.
As a planner and researcher, Paige wrote two outlines for two different stories in my course – one fantasy, one science fiction. The quality of her work shone through in two crucial aspects: her ability to write clearly and concisely about the development of a narrative she had not yet written, and the research she conducted in order to make sure the premise and its development were self-consistent. Since the crucial parameters of a fantasy or science fiction story do not actually exist, and therefore must be extrapolated from known trends in our present times, conducting research and utilizing it in devising an outline are fundamental skills – for creative writing as well as for teaching academic English. Paige excelled in both abilities.
Paige was also an important part of her class’ interactions, and an influence on her classmates to connect with, discuss together, and put into practice the learning materials they had been assigned. She understood the collaborative side of writing well, and she was generous with herself and her time. Those same virtues of kindness and availability serve her well in her role as teacher.
In conclusion, I’m proud to recommend Paige as a tutor on Superprof. Anyone with an interest in – and/or a passion for – English will find their time and money well-spent.
All the best
Simone Caroti
Paige is a supportive, safe space to learn. You'll get a lot of information but also room to try and grow without judgment. Paige is a great resource and good instructor.
Paige is a very kind and patient person who is dedicated to her love for writing and determined to bring out the best in her students. She has experience in rhythmic, poetic detail that will make you feel immersed in the emotion and story. With her educational background in creative writing and even film production - her creativity and experience make her a great problem solver and collaborator for any writing challenge you may have.
Paige is a seasoned writer with an eye for story and kind soul. She’s the perfect person to have in your corner when it comes to dealing with the personal nature of writing. She has an amazing way of helping guide the writers mind to their own desired outcome rather than force her own ideas upon the assignment / project. Her strengths as a teacher transfer to those who learn from her. If you are looking for a judgment free teacher who will help expand your knowledge as a writer and encourage you to explore who you want to be as a writer, you’ve found her.
Paige is one of the kindest people I know! She always listens well and is very patient in situations where others wouldn't be. She also does the work, which is hard to say for most people these days. Great choice for a teacher!
If you’re looking for an English tutor I would 100% recommend Paige. She has two years of experience being a writing tutor for college students.
She’s a very dear friend of mine and I’ve been able to learn a lot with her, I know anyone would be lucky to have her as their English tutor.Paige is a trustworthy teacher having two years of experience tutoring collegiate level students. Her dedication to the craft of writing makes her extremely knowledgeable in the subject. She is an excellent tutor that I would highly recommend!
Paige takes hard concepts and breaks them down in a way that’s understandable and relatable. She is very attentive to individual students’ needs and teaches at a pace that matches the learning pace of the student.
Paige is an exceptional writer and a compassionate, intelligent person. She relates well to students who need guidance in improving their writing skills and is adept at explaining the intricacies of the craft. With two years of experience as a writing tutor, she has helped many students improve their writing, as well as their grades.
