About the lesson
I'm an experienced French teacher and tutor based out of New York City. I give lessons to children, teens and adults of all levels, from absolute beginners on up. I like to teach using conversation, reading materials, grammar exercises, comic books, videos and music. I structure each student's lessons according to the needs of the individual, because there is no one-size-fits-all.
I graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's in French, then from the Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris with a master's in French theatre studies. I have been teaching on a freelance basis ever since in Boston and New York - privately and as a substitute in schools. I prefer one-on-one lessons because I think that from the student's point of view there is no substitute for one-on-one learning.
These days I usually teach via Zoom, but in-person may be arrangeable in some situations.
Please note I cannot offer a first free lesson, but I can offer discounts for people who end up taking more than 1 lesson per week.
