About the lesson
My teaching approach is collaborative and differentiated. I assess student needs and design instruction according to their ability and desired outcome. I believe in working on projects with students so that their experience is relevant and results-driven. I ask students to bring a short piece of their writing to their first class.

Deb is an extraordinary woman and a wonderful teacher! She has a breadth of knowledge of the English language and teaches in a way that is interesting and accessible, whether the topic is grammar, literature, business communication, or presentation, vocabulary, writing, etc. Her varied professional experience and decades of teaching give her insights into how language is used that is rare to find in a teacher. Any student of hers will recognize this immediately, and will undoubtedly improve their skills and knowledge all while enjoying time well spent! I highly recommend Deborah.
Deb is an outstanding teacher and such an inclusive listener for her students.
She is always willing to help her students understand better and engage a wide range of topics, from science to literature to theatre, and even technology.
Deb is deeply committed to the academic and personal growth of each student.
José María BenaventDeb is an amazing teacher, she's patient and caring, and knows exactly what help a student needs to improve. I recommend her highly
I have taught with Deb since 2015. Deb is without a doubt the best teacher, mentor, and colleague I have ever had the pleasure to work with. What makes Deb stand out is her ability to make a connection with each individual student. They are engaged in every lesson. She is very professional and warm with her students. She is a great resource for other teachers when we have questions. I highly recommend her.
Deb and I have been colleagues in academia for many years. Deb’s teaching stands out because she quickly identifies a student’s learning style and adapts lessons to provide what will work best for each individual. Deb’s warm personality puts students at ease, allowing them to focus on the task at hand.
