About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is to assess the learning style of the student and adapt the curriculum to their needs. In a group setting I encourage cooperative learning. In using many different learning styles, the student is able to understand and retain the subject matter easier.

About Beccalynn

I have a degree in Child Development. I taught in the preschool setting for years. I home schooled my children for 12 years. Once they all entered public high school into the GATE program I volunteered in an elementary school working with struggling learners. I currently work with ESL students online.

Perfect! Beccalynn is very good at teaching young learner. My kid is so excited to share with me that he played a Starwar character during the class, and wrote the topic he interested. Meanwhile, he adapted the new grammar knowledge. Strongly recommend!

Rebecca is a talented props maker and theater hand, but when you are working with children & teens in theater it takes a little something extra beyond being creative, crafty, and quick on your feet. It means pep talks in the wings, teachable moments with curious kids interested in a different aspect of the production they are working on, tutoring when kids have homework to complete during the run of a show, remembering that everyone needs snacks and hydration to be at their best, passing your skills on to other people that need to understudy what you are doing in case you are unavailable for the next showing or production, and generally being a team player that is up for almost anything. She has all of these skills and more. Her background in child development and education make her poised to do this well and she’s really great at working with and teaching kids especially.
