About the lesson

My teaching method involves getting to know my students first and building a trusting relationships with them. This allows me to create lessons that are centered around the student; their needs and their interests. I am trained in the Orton Gillingham approach to reading; helping my students by breaking language down into simple, easy to understand pieces and then teaching them using explicit, systematic, multi-sensory, and structured lessons.

About Jessica

I am a mom, wife and educator who loves helping students grow and learn in fun ways. I have worked in the classroom since 2016 and love building community with my students and their families. I have been a first and second grade teacher for the last three years. After seeing many of my students struggle with online learning during the covid shutdown, I started tutoring many of them to help them not get behind in reading and math skills.
