About the lesson

I believe that the key element in the Spanish foreign language classroom is keeping students motivated to learn. My personal style of teaching in the form of technology, enthusiasm, and promoting culture awareness into the classroom helps keep students motivated to learn. Spanish being my native language and being able to teach it to students enables me to draw upon my own culture and personal experience as a foreign language learner. My teaching not only consist of learning how to conjugate verbs and the rules to grammar but to have activities that incorporate varies cultures where students will study the music, traditions, and customs. Students will acquire their own critical thinking to communicate about the Latin American countries being learned.

I am currently a master's student pursing a degree in latin american literatures and cultures. I studied abroad in Bilbao Spain where I worked at two non profit organizations to teach English to children. My current job is an assistant teacher at a dual language school in Chicago that allows me to gain more experience while I obtain my teaching license.
